Zacapa Rum is made from high quality sugar cane in Guatemala. Only the essence of the first pressing, the so called virgin sugar cane honey, is used for distillation. The spirit then matures for up to 23 years at 2.300 m above sea level. The altitude provides natural coolness, hence avoiding evaporation.
